San Francisco is widely regarded as one of the world’s most desirable towns. I believe it is the most beautiful city in the United States, and it should be on everyone’s list of places to visit. It is a bustling city with a range of vistas, various neighborhoods, and magnificent outdoor places.

Best time to visit:
Fall is the greatest time for visiting San Francisco. We name it “Indian summer” because it brings sunny and moderate temperatures. Summers in San Francisco are particularly cold and foggy. Although Mark Twain once said, “The coldest winter was a summer in San Francisco.” I propose traveling in the latter half of September or October, which are the best months. Remember that the environment is uncertain and subject to change. Bring clothing and be prepared for unexpected winds and fog.
How many days you should stay:
To enjoy San Francisco, I recommend staying for at least 5-6 nights due to the enough activities. It’s best to be given additional time. Also, bear in mind that the climate might be unexpected. Windy and foggy days may occur during your journey. So plan ahead of time for extra days in case you are unable to explore during those times.
Where to Stay in San Francisco:
The northern sections of San Francisco are ideal for staying. This includes Nob Hill, Russian Hill, North Beach, the Marina, and Fisherman’s Wharf. If you stay there, you will be close to practically all of the events and the greatest areas. These locations are likewise much safer than the ones further south.
The Westin St. Francis is a historical hotel with a prime position and spectacular views of Union Square from its rooftop.
Fairmont San Francisco – excellent location between Nob Hill and Fisherman’s Wharf. With a gorgeous patio overlooking downtown and cable cars passing right outside the hotel!
Top things to do in San Francisco:
Take a morning or afternoon stroll around one of the parks
San Francisco offers plenty of parks and green places. The largest and most well-known is Golden Gate Park. It draws tourists as well as locals. Personally, I like quieter, smaller parks set on hills. Most of them provide stunning views of the city. My favorite parks in San Francisco, known only by residents. Those are Tank Hill, Corona Heights, Bernal Heights, Ina Coolbrith, and Fay Park.
Ride a cable car
The cable cars in San Francisco are a historical landmark and the world’s last operable cable car network. They began operations in 1873 and are now a National Historic Landmark. San Francisco has three tram lines: Powell-Hyde, Powell-Mason, and California Street. Each provides a diverse view of the town’s surroundings. My favorite line is Powell-Hyde. It passes via the famed Lombard Street and my favorite area, Russian Hill. If you wish to take photos with the cable cars. The best spots to perform so are Hyde Avenue and Beach Avenue in Fisherman’s Wharf.
Enjoy a picnic in the beautiful Palace of Fine Arts
The Palace of Fine Arts is a massive structure situated near the Marina. It was constructed to accommodate the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exhibition. It commemorated the opening of the Panama Canal and San Francisco’s recovery from the 1906 earthquake. The location includes a breathtaking Greco-Roman-style rotunda flanked by columns and encircled by a calm lagoon teeming with turtles and ducks.
