IBDP is a two-year program for students. It is basically for the students that are aged 16 to 18. What are the Challenges in the Elementary School?

While CAS offers valuable learning, it does have some challenges as well.

Time Management

It can be stressful for some students to balance CAS with the demanding International Baccalaureate Diploma curriculum.

– Authenticity

There is a risk that students engage in activities superficially to meet requirements.

– Assessment

Assassinating students can be challenging for the coordinator because   CAS is subjective.

Despite these challenges, CAS’s benefits outweigh the drawbacks if implemented correctly.

What are three CAS Interviews?

Three different types of interviews are held throughout CAS in 18 months. They are ensuring that students are on track and meet the learning outcome.

First Interview

The interview happens at the start of the course. The coordinator tries to check the student’s knowledge of the CAS. They will review the student’s interests and the possible learning outcomes. This interview set the stage for learners in their journey of this course.

Second Interview

This interview takes place during the CAS course. The purpose of this interview is to determine whether the student’s growth is on the line or not. It also discusses challenges they may have faced and gathers feedback on their CAS portfolio. This interview helps elementary school students stay motivated. It also reminds them that CAS should be enjoyable and enriching for themselves and the communities they are engaging with.

Third Interview

The third interview happens at the end of the course. The primary focus of this interview is the achievements. This interview also allows students to evaluate how they have met the CAS learning outcomes. It encourages students to consider how CAS has shaped their understanding of global issues and future choices.
